She has a vision and determination for what she wants. She waters her plants at 6 a.m before her morning coffee. She works around the clock but is always on time to make breakfast and dinner for 7 at the table. She brings her work home sometimes to catch up at night as she watches over the kids while they are asleep. She uses a small table in the corner as her sewing station. In the bottom drawer she has a 4¢ stamp a pen and paper. Before bed, She writes her letter that will travel hundreds of miles to let him know the family is doing well and he is missed and they appreciate the sacrifices being made for the family.
Día De Reyes, also known as the Feast of The Epiphany or “The Three Kings’ Day” Is a Christian festivity that is celebrated every 6th of January to honor the birth of Jesus.
According to tradition, The Three Kings Balthazar, Melchior, and Caspar arrived in Bethlehem from the Far East to meet the newborn king. With them, they brought Three symbolic gifts to deliver to Jesus: Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.
Celebrations vary from one country to another, the tradition remains similar across Latin America and Spain. The fiesta starts on January 5th, also known as “Noche De Reyes” and concludes the following day with the gifts children received from Los Reyes Magos. This event ends the 12 days of Christmas within the Hispanic culture. But wait! no celebration is complete without some kind of dessert.

The oval shape on the Rosca is meant to symbolize a crown and the colorful jeweled design is meant to symbolize the gifts given to baby Jesus.
